They say no one man should have all that power,
But if that's been said to much of that you are a coward;
Some get to stand up the rest are all bowers,
"The power" is to have power to make them yell "wowzers"!
Big things change after little things crumble,
An our voices are always deeper when we take our time to mumble;
If they are not looking for war then why try to rumble,
An I'm tired of my mind "trippin" so my thoughts are gonna stumble;
How our minds corrupt our actions when our actions control our mind,
So if we act towards our strengths the power will come in time;
But most of us forget the stress and consider yourself to settle,
But half of us want it all and to pain we are a rebel;
Some can scream louder,
Some can soar towers,
But no one man should have all that power;
Some think faster,
And some can be a master;
"But no one man should have all that power"- Kanye West
Wowzers, indeed, Mr. Blalock.
ReplyDeleteI loved watching you support and encourage one of your fellow writers in class today. There is nothing more inspiring than watching students drop knowledge on one another.
Thank you for making us all smarter--with your poetry AND your prose.
